With 22 days left until Charlotte, NC, hosts its March for Babies, I finally got the lead out and fired up our team page.

Our team, Peanut Butter Jelly Time (named for PB&J, the nickname Rob gave Toby, Eleanor and Callista the day we first met them on ultrasound), will be participating in our third annual March for Babies (AP Style nerds, it’s officially an annual event now for us!) this month. We walk to support March of Dimes – without them and the technologies they’ve developed or the discoveries and advances they’ve made, my life would be completely different. Without March of Dimes, Toby, Eleanor and Callista may not even be here today.

I have a lot of work to do between now and then, but the first step was reforming our team. The second step is informing our supporters – that includes YOU!

Our goal this year is $3,000 – that’s $1,000 for each of my March of Dimes miracles. Watch out for updates as the 22 days (and beyond, honestly – there’s still time to raise money after we walk!) count down. I’ll keep a donation box in my sidebar, and I’ll drop friendly reminders here and there, too.

It’s for the babies – mine and maybe yours. Every baby deserves a chance at life, and the ones born too soon, too small or too sick deserve as much help as March of Dimes has to offer.

Can I walk with you all again this year? If it is on a weekend I am free I’d love to be a part. We are official NC residents now so getting to the walk should be easy peasy this year. :)

We are right there with you! Our babies, in my opinion, were saved by surfactant. They are now almost 2 with no chronic health problems ! Thank you MOD! Here is a video I made to promote our team, Lulu & the X-men. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtQs7CeSJVM&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Yes, every little one deserves a good start in life. So glad to see people take action!
