Busy, busy, busy! My new dSLR camera will be here sometime this week, and we’re wrapping up our week with our second (and possibly final) appointment with the developmentalist.

Here’s a clickable list plus a wee bonus at the end. Pip pip, readers! I hope you’re all fantastic!

Kitchen:

Avent bottles

First Years carousel-style drying rack

Grass drying rack

Munchkin spoons

Stainless veggie/fruit steamer (for steaming solids)

Kitchenaid food processor (for pureeing solids)

Crock Pot (for warming bottles)

OXO bottle brush (great for bottles because it’s firm)

Munchkin bottle brush (great for pump parts because the sponge squishes more to get into smaller spaces)

Dawn (tried generic dish soap, and it didn’t clean breastmilk fat!)

Nursery:

IKEA Gulliver cribs (x3)

Safety 1st mattresses (x3) (great ratings, super light and easy for quick sheet changes)

Clothing hangers (folding takes too much time)

Twilight Sea Turtle

iPod & dock – we use my old, 3rd gen (2nd?) iPod and a cheapie Magnavox dock

Soothe and Glow Seahorse

Purell dispenser

Receiving blankets (use them as towels, burp rags, changing pads – anything)

Living room:

Fisher Price open-top cradle swing(s)

Fisher Price newborn-to-toddler vibrating rockers (better than bouncy seats)

Boppy pillows (for relaxing, feeding, propping – even if you aren’t a baby)

Pack N Play

Activity mat (no specific brand – I bought ours for $4 at a consignment sale)

Jumperoo

Foam puzzle mat – another consignment find

Getting out:

Sophie the giraffe

Graco Snugride (we have the 22 lb. seats because, come on, we all know I won’t want to lug around 3 35 lb. babies in seats)

Snap-N-Go stroller (1 single, 1 double for us)

Bumbleride Flite

Baby Jogger City Mini Double

Baby carrier(s) – I currently use knit and woven wraps, an Ergo and a Babyhawk mei tai

Breastfeeding (I’m still compiling an entry spun off of that one entry):

My LC’s phone number

Bubba beverage jug/keg

Quick-grab foods

My Brest Friend twin pillow

Laundry:

Homemade detergent for cloth diapers

All free & clear (same thing our NICU used)

white, distilled vinegar

Maytag Bravos washing machine (our dryer is a base-model Kenmore we bought in 2004)

Eleanor, Toby, Callista

oh, I SO AGREE on the receiving blankets. People were all, “You’ll get WAY TOO MANY blankets! Don’t register for them!” but honestly? I barely had enough. We went through four on a good day.

Long live the kids that puke.

  2. TheNextMartha says:

Though I’m past this stage I remember the stuff. I guess I still have stuff but my vacuum can get most of it. Legos.

  3. Laura says:

Ditto on blankets! We use them as changing pads and burp rags as well. “Regular”burp cloths don’t cut it for a true spewer.

  4. Sara says:

They are getting so big!!! And I still want my own Boppy. To rest my ice cream on whilst I eat it, of course.

  5. Jessica says:

FYI the Purex Free & Clear is exactly the same as all but cheaper 😉

  6. Kayla says:

Omg the cuteness in that picture. They are so cute. I had to go look at the grass drying rack thing and I want one now! lol

  7. Lindsey says:

Are the 3 babies essentials? Just wondering. Also between OJ & 3D my kids have all three of those outfits in different sizes lol.

  8. Alena says:

Eleanor cracks me up with that face. And then her trying to lick Toby’s hand…she cracks me up!

  9. molly says:

Yay, trip pics, trip pics! Oh wait, was that a list?

    😉

  10. Alissa says:

LOVE our Bumbleride stroller. We have the Indie Twin (2 kids <17 months apart). And ditto on the receiving blankets. Burp cloths are no good for real spitters.

PS – I'm in the market for a dSLR. Told my hubby it was all I wanted for my birthday, from everyone. What did you get?

  11. Suz B says:

Definitely getting much easier to tell them apart! They’re so cute. Good list to remember too.

  12. Suzy says:

Which camera are you getting? I’m in the market for a new one too but I cannot for the life of me decide on a model!!

I love that Eleanor is licking Toby’s hand in the last pic – so much cuteness in one photo!!

  13. Mandy says:

OMG they are SO delicious! I love those pictures!!!

  14. Jenny says:

@ Alissa & Suzy – I bought a refurbished Canon EOS Rebel T1i. I’ve always used Canon, so I opted to go with what I know vs. getting a Nikon and needing to learn the menus and such while re-learning how to shoot manually. Too much for mah brainz!

  15. Claire says:

the snugrides are great seats! Once they outgrow them I would look on car-seat.org for seats that would work for your car if you would be doing a three across situation. I’d recommend sunshine kids Radians since they have a high rear facing limit and are narrow. I know you have a while to choose or even if you are going to rear face them as long as possible. I call it the baby bubble heh. safety first!

  16. Darryl says:

Great post. I totally agree with your list. I am a SAHD and have found the babyhawk mei tai to be an absolute life saver! Happy Blogging!
